I Asked My Roommate Which One Mattered More: Wealth or Kindness?
Here’s his answer, and here’s mine
Question of the day:
Would you rather be super rich, or super nice?
My roommate and I tend to discuss all different kinds of topics of different depths, and he came to me with this question one day.
I was quick to respond with “super nice,” and was rather shocked to hear his response of “super rich.”
We talked about the topic some more, and he refined the question to ask if you’d rather be super rich and mean, or super nice and poor.
Even with less incentive to choose the latter (who wants to be condemned to be financially lacking?), I still chose it.
He still chose the first.
Like I said, essentially nobody wants to be fated to be broke for life. I’m sure even people who live minimalist would want to have their options open.
But here’s what my mind jumps to first:
What’s in it for other people?
