Thanks for the comfort Mister Joe. We were never officially anything more than best friends, but we were possibly on the way there. Nonetheless, LDRs in the sense of even friendships can still apply to what you said about the difficulty to maintain.

I just wish I had some proper closure and gave her a chance to explain her side while I would properly listen. Perhaps this story is one example of why I stick to the adage "prevention is better than the cure." There is no undo button for what is said and done, and I shouldn't have said and done some things to begin with. Then I wouldn't have to worry about these hypotheticals and what-ifs.

Face-to-face is definitely key though. It's no surprise that it's my favorite way to spend time with people.
