I think that if you wait to review notifications until they reach an amount as large as 100, then your interaction and engagement online might suffer.

Let's say somebody responds to something you write and asks you a question, and they're notification #5. It might take a long time for them to hear back from you if you wait till you hit notification #100. By that point, they might've already moved on and forgotten about you.

I always try to respond to my notifications every day. I don't make it a point to live online, but I want to show people who engage with my content that they matter and that I appreciate them.
