I had been thinking about how schools and universities were handling ChatGPT but I never bothered to really look into it. I'm glad I stumbled across your article.
When I see ChatGPT, I see both an opportunity and a threat. As you said, when used correctly, ChatGPT can be used for research help, planning, and brainstorming. On the other hand, it can also be abused to skip steps, neglect comprehension and understanding, and forego education.
I do believe in working smarter rather than harder, but I'm concerned that youth might go too far into "working smarter" to where it becomes being lazy and not getting the full value out of education. Why pay tuition when an AI can just answer your tests and homework questions?
