The inspiration for today’s article comes from an Instagram post from a buddy I made while on vacation and from a Quora.com response, and before I delve into the topic, I want to give a brief rundown of these posts so you understand where I’m coming from.

The Instagram post, albeit brief, details my buddy’s closing thoughts on the news of his friend passing away. He mentioned:

  • how she lit up any room she walked into,
  • how she was the life of any party,
  • how compassionate and thoughtful she was,
  • how he wishes he could hear her laugh just one more time
  • and how he’s so glad they crossed paths at school.

He closes with a wish for her to rest in peace, and how he’ll miss her forever.

What about the response to a question on Quora?

For the record, the question was: “What was the scariest experience you ever had?”

This lady responded a couple weeks ago with a story detailing how back in 2018…
