Navigating the Moral Maze: The Battle of the Ethics
Does the end justify the means?
The topic of morals and ethics has always been a favorite discussion of mine.
I often like to bring up scenarios in conversation that allows the other person to showcase their moral and ethical values. This helps me get a better feel for a person and what kind of mentality and perspective they have on life, but generally, I ask these questions because I always seek to expand my own understanding of the world and I always look for opportunities to be proven wrong and/or enlightened in unprecedented ways.
This post is another one of those opportunities, and I’d like for the comments section of this post to serve as the floor for discussion regarding today’s topic: deontological vs. consequentialist ethics.
